Today we have another great day of touring with our local guide in Vermont. We wander off the beaten path to Sugar Bush Farms. Here we will learn how this family farm makes maple syrup and cheddar cheese. Then off to explore Woodstock, Vermont with time for lunch. No visit to Vermont would be complete without a stop at their “little Grand Canyon”, Quechee Gorge, after which we say goodbye to Vermont and are on our way to New Hampshire.  Dinner tonight is a special treat as we board the Lake Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad for a complete, New England turkey dinner!  (B,D)

We learn of the famed Old Man of the Mountain that once captured the imagination of Daniel Webster and Nathanial Hawthorne.  We travel through Bretton Woods and visit the stately Mt. This morning we head to the sea coast region of New Hampshire with a visit to Portsmouth. We will step over the threshold of history at Strawberry Bank, a 10 acre living history museum with buildings spanning from the 1600s to the mid 1950s. You will have some free time for lunch and exploring before continuing on to Maine. Here we visit Maine’s oldest town, York. The beach is dotted with quaint cottages and lobster boats.  We will stop for a photo at the Nubble Lighthouse, and have a little time for shopping for Maine made products at Stonewall Kitchen before resting for the next two nights in Kennebunk, Maine..
