Come along with Sunnyland as we head south to enjoy the epicenter of some of our favorite old-time music! Tours of Muscle Shoals, Frank Lloyd Wright Rosenbaum home, Alabama Music Hall of Fame, and Sun Studio will highlight our journey through the making of music that you grew up on. Other musically related stops will make this 5 day tour the highlight of your year. No extra charge if you’re caught singing on the bus!

Day 1

Today we depart Springfield and make our way to Horn Lake, MS where we will stay for the night. We will enjoy dinner at King’s Palace on Beale Street with entertainment before settling in to rest up for the adventure ahead! (D)

Day 2

This morning we depart for Muscle Shoals, Alabama and tour the home of Frank Lloyd Wright Rosenbaum. We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, spend the afternoon on a guided tour of “Fame” Recording Studios, and then check into the beautiful Muscle Shoals Marriott, where we will stay the next two nights. After dinner at a local restaurant, the evening is yours, free to enjoy the lovely hotel and grounds or the entertainment in the lounge. (B, L, D)

Day 3

We will spend this morning visiting the most unique cemetery in the south, the “Coon Dog” Cemetery, and touring the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Then, you are free to have lunch on your own in the Downtown area. This afternoon, we will have a guided tour of the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, visit the birthplace of W.C. Handy, the “Father of the Blues,” and then return to the hotel to relax before dinner. Finish off your day enjoying private entertainment tonight with your meal at a local restaurant. (B, D)

Day 4

This morning we will tour “Ivy Green,” the birthplace of Hellen Keller, and then depart for Memphis. we will have a fantastic lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon on a guided tour of the legendary Sun Studio. We will then check into our hotel for a relaxed final night in Horn Lake, MS and enjoy a kickback reception with food and drink. (B, L)

Day 5

Our last day will be spent traveling home and reflecting on the unique places we have been. (B)
