Day 1, Monday, September 20, 2021
Our southern tour begins early this morning as we head southeast toward the mighty Mississippi and historic Natchez. We will arrive in time for dinner in Ferriday, LA. before settling into our hotel in Natchez for the next 4 nights. (D)

Day 2, Tuesday, September 21, 2021
Today, after breakfast, a local guide will join us for a tour of Natchez. We will visit the incredible welcome center to learn of some of the people that were an integral part of making Natchez the landmark of history that it is today. Our guide will assure we see and learn the history of so many of the famous antebellum homes around the quaint town. Also, not to be missed, are a couple of the cemeteries where some of the founders of Natchez were laid to rest. A treasure trove of history is a fantastic Day 2. (B, D)

Day 3, Wednesday, September 22, 2021
Early birds get a motor coach ride to Vicksburg where a local guide will take us to the Vicksburg Battlefield and Military Park. Re-live civil war days on the very grounds that saw conflict between the North and South. After, enjoy some free time and lunch in beautiful downtown Vicksburg. Another informative destination awaits after lunch when we visit the Lower Mississippi River Museum and
Riverfront Interpretive site. Have you ever wondered where Coca-Cola traces it’s history? We will find out at the Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum. Rounding out the day in Vicksburg is both a tour and dinner at the historic Anchuca Mansion. What a treat it will be to dine like royalty in a magnificent, old house! (B, D)

Day 4, Thursday, September 23, 2021
We’ve learned so much already, but today is full of historical information as well. From early to modern day history, the Frogmore Plantation and Farm will teach us of the cotton trade as it has progressed through time. Enjoy another lunch on your own, after which we will visit the Delta Music Museum and the Arcade Theater with an informative, local tour guide. We will have to so relax for a short while at the hotel before the grand finale; the beautiful Choctaw Hall. Recently reopened after being shuttered for decades, the new owners will host us on the splendid grounds of this stunning home for tours and dinner. You may want to change your mailing address after receiving the royal treatment in Natchez! (B, D)

Day 5, Friday, September 24, 2021
Homeward bound today as we point the motor coach toward Springfield. We hope you have enjoyed the beauty and the history in Natchez and plan to reserve your seat on the next Sunnyland tour. (B)
