Our exploration of South Carolina and Georgia amid the spectacular backdrop of autumn colors is sure to amaze! We will visit the famous Citadel, the Charleston Tea Plantation, and cruise the harbor while enjoying dinner. See Savannah, aboard the Old Town Trolley before we hit the harbor in search of our favorite, watery mammal, dolphins! Our tour of the south would be incomplete without a stay in the incredible Gaylord Opryland Resort and dinner from the south’s #1 butter queen, Paula Deen!

Day 1
Today we begin our journey down south and stop for a relaxing evening in Birmingham, Alabama. After dinner, rest well, for tomorrow we depart for Charleston.
Day 2
Today we make our way toward the beautiful eastern coast, arriving at our destination in time for dinner. Settle into the Springhill Suites Riverview in Charleston, SC and get ready for a fantastic dinner at Hymans Famous Seafood and Southern Restaurant! (B, D)
Day 3
This morning, we will do a little city sightseeing, including the Battery and the Citadel! You will then have time in the city market to grab lunch and shop the stores, and enjoy your afternoon free for exploring Charleston, South Carolina! This evening, we will meet back up for a dinner cruise aboard Spirit Cruise Lines in the Charleston Harbor. Watching the colorful sunset on the beautiful water is the perfect way to end the day. Day 4
We begin today’s adventures with a tour of Magnolia Plantation, followed by a tour of Charleston Tea Plantation where you will enjoy your lunch and the lovely southeastern weather out on the patio. We leave South Carolina behind and make our way to Georgia where we will check into the Springhill Suites in Savannah Historic District. This evening, enjoy another dinner cruise on the Savannah Riverboat, and then rest up for another day of exploration. (B, L, D)
Day 5
This morning is filled by a local sightseeing tour aboard Old Town Trolley. You will have time for lunch on your own in the city market or riverfront area before meeting back up for a dolphin watching cruise! Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at the hotel before we depart for a spectacular dinner. We will finish off the night with an evening show at the Savannah Theater. (B, D)
Day 6
Today, we begin our journey home, but we wouldn’t want to end the tour without a stop in Nashville! We will spend the night in the incredible Gaylord Opryland Resort and enjoy one last great southern dinner at Paula Deen’s restaurant. (B, D)
Day 7
Our final day, we will finish traveling home. You are sure to be craving the fantastic food and missing the wonderful weather of the south as we arrive back in Springfield. On the bus ride, don’t forget to ask your tour guide about scheduling your next getaway! (B)
