Located on the banks of the Missouri River, this historic center of German culture opens its doors to lovers-of-the-grape several times a year. But the biggest and best celebration occurs each November, after the grapes are harvested and the new wines are cellared for the long winter. Celebrate good food paired with good wine (optional), throw in some family and friends, and kick off your Holiday shopping with a relaxing weekend in this quaint village with its European charm and tantalizing array of pinks, whites, and reds.

Day 1
Depart from Springfield for a “wunderbares Wochenende” in the historic community of Hermann, Missouri. After arriving, visit three wineries – if you choose, sample the products of each for the most discerning connoisseur. Each winery offers a special sampling of its own vintage. Tour one of the winery’s production area and cellars. For those who do not drink, enjoy the splendor of the vineyards, spend a bit of time exploring downtown Hermann and its eclectic collection of specialty shops. End the day with an appetizing dinner at Oliver’s Restaurant. (D)
Day 2
Begin a pleasurable morning with hot breakfast at the hotel and load the coach for the return to Hermann. Visit three wineries, again enjoying both tours and wine (optional), and pick out gifts from the shop to take home.
