One of History’s Most Award-Winning Musicals is coming to Fayetteville’s Walton Arts Center May 21…

…And so is Sunnyland!

Winner of 11 Tony Awards, two Obies, a 2019 Grammy and even an Emmy for an appearance on the TODAY SHOW, THE BAND’S VISIT has captivated audiences and theatre critics on and off-Broadway and is now on its first nationwide tour.

In this delightfully offbeat story, set in a town that’s way off the beaten path, a band of Egyptian musicians arrives out of the blue, lost and confused, in the middle of Israel. Under the spell of the desert sky, and with beautiful music perfuming the air, the band brings the town to life in unexpected and tantalizing ways. Even the briefest visit can stay with you forever.

With a score that seduces your soul and sweeps you off your feet, THE BAND’S VISIT features Tony-winning performances and thrillingly talented onstage musicians. THE BAND’S VISIT rejoices in the way music makes us laugh, makes us cry, and ultimately, brings us together.

Depart from University Plaza Hotel & Conference Center in Springfield.  After a quick rest-stop in Joplin, we’ll travel due south to Fayetteville AR, home of the Arkansas Razorbacks and Walmart.  And also home of one of the region’s liveliest hubs for entertainment and culture – the Walton Arts Center.

We’ll dine on a fabulous Italian luncheon at the WAC.  Then adjourn to the Theatre for another unforgettable musical THE BAND’S VISIT.

After the performance we’ll walk the short distance to Burton’s Creamery, renown for their ultra-creamy soft-serve topped with anything you can think of!  Just a little treat to spoil you.  Then it’s back to the Coach for our trip home to Springfield. (L)
