Day 1, Sunday, September 27, 2020

Our ALL MEALS INCLUDED Mississippi River adventure begins as we depart Springfield traveling to Dubuque, Iowa, by way of the Great River Road scenic route. Tonight we will enjoy a get acquainted welcome dinner. (L,D)

Day 2, Monday, September 28, 2020

After breakfast we head to the National Mississippi River Museum Aquarium where “History and Rivers come Alive!” You will marvel at the exhibits as you learn about the rich history of the Mississippi River. We then head down to the dock and board “Riverboat Twilight” for a cruise on the Big Muddy! We head south from Dubuque and explore one of the “Most Beautiful” stretches of the Mississippi River. Our day cruise includes continental breakfast, two snacks, a full lunch, historical narration, great scenery, local favorite live entertainment, and more relaxation that you have allowed yourself in years! You will love this true “Mississippi River Experience!” Tonight we stay at the Isle Bettendorf Casino Resort. Feeling lucky? Try your luck at the casino this evening! (B,L,D)

Day 3, Tuesday, September 29, 2020

Today after breakfast, we start our return to Springfield with special memories of relaxing on the Mississippi River. We will have a farewell lunch on our journey back home. (B,L)

Please Note: Many of our sightseeing stops/sites require extensive standing, sitting, walking – sometimes on unpaved or cobblestone streets, loading and unloading into horse drawn carriages and/or trolleys. Sunnyland Travel will not refund or cover any cost of expense incurred for any missed activities due to a participant’s inability to fully participate with the group. If you require assistance in walking, navigating stairs, etc., you are required to travel with a qualified physically-able companion who can accompany and provide such assistance. Due to many historic locations, the motor coach is not allowed to stay on site or remain running to provide an alternate shelter for those not able to participate in an event.
